Polaroid Snapshot Gif

September 2020

Proposal

For this project, I was tasked with creating a gif from start to finish to showcase my skills in motion graphics. I used the Timeline feature in Adobe Photoshop to develop the frames of the gif.

Elements

After brainstorming and coming up with a concept through a few basic sketches, I started working in Adobe Illustrator to create the necessary elements that I would need to create my gif. For a Polaroid snapshot gif, I designed a graphic of a Polaroid camera as well as an undeveloped polaroid photograph.

Conclusion

I wanted to keep the colors fairly simple and close to an original camera with a simple background as well. After doing so, I brought the drawings into Adobe Photoshop to make the gif itself. I thought that a Polaroid that continuously takes pictures and prints them out would be a good idea for a loop. This process was pretty simple to execute, and I'm proud of the outcome.
